What is a Taiwanese photo booth?
Taiwan's coin-operated photobooths follow the same Korean-style four-cut format popularised by South Korea's photo booth culture — a set of small photos taken in one session, printed on the spot. On Taiwanese storefronts, look for the Chinese characters 拍貼 (photo sticker) or 韓式拍貼機 (Korean-style photo booth) on the sign; a four-photo vertical print is often called 人生四格 ("Life 4-cut", literally "four squares of life"). Recognizing these terms on a storefront is the fastest way to confirm a machine is inside, even if you can't read the rest of the sign.
